A week ago today, indomitable showman of the ’10s, Neil Patrick Harris, was preparing to zip up his Hedwig go-go boots for the last time on Broadway, passing the rock ‘n roll transexual torch to The Book of Mormon Tony nominee and MVP TV guest star du jour, Andrew Rannells.
There’s no doubt Andrew will blow the roof off the Belasco, but having had the chance to be completely entranced by NPH for 90 minutes as he thrashed, kicked, jumped, swang and sang with every (angry) inch of his being (and all in those boots!), I feel attention must be paid.
